Springtime fund raising by the Scout family at 1st Woosehill has resulted in a grand total of £580 for the Group. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers raised the money through two events – a donation to the Bag2School textile recycling scheme and a stall at the Wokingham May Fayre. The first event saw families donate 260kg of unwanted clothes which raised £103 and the second raised £470 by manning and running a chocolate tombola with prizes donated by the Group’s families.

Amanda Parker, Akela at Hawks Cubs said: “Extra big thanks to the following people who gave their time so generously at the May Fayre:  Sally Maloy; Andy Newman; Nicky Roberts; and the Griffths, Hanson, Taylor, Donovan, Burrows, Cole, Good, Gray, Hopkins, Kelly and Edwards families. We are about to order new hike tents for the new camping season so all funds really do benefit the Group’s young people. Well done!
