Scores of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their families turned out for the annual 1st Woosehill BBQ on Saturday 9th July. The evening’s events were kicked off by the AGM which included a photographic presentation of all the amazing activities the different sections had taken on over the last 12 months and entertainment by Merlin Scouts.
Once the official proceedings were over, the food and fun began with everyone tucking in to hot dogs and burgers, enjoying sweet treats at the tuck shop and gathering round the camp fire for a Scouting sing song. As an added bonus to the event’s social role, the Group made £944.24 to put towards vital equipment and upkeep of the Hut. Many thanks to organiser, Lucy Hutson, and her trusty helpers Nicky Roberts and Amanda Parker and to everyone that helped clear up the next day!
