The Group Treasurer keeps all financial matters of the Group under control, and reports to the Executive Committee on a regular basis. No specific accountancy or financial training is required, it just needs someone who is organising and good with spreadsheets and reporting. Specific aspects of the role include:
- Work closely with the Group Chair and GSL to oversee all financial matters of the Scout Group
- Manage all incoming and outgoing monies, including subscriptions, expenses and invoices, and manage the Scout Group bank account
- Prepare all financial reporting and accounts that are required, for the AGM, District
